Lucia is a musician with a unique musical vision. Lucia has just finished an album that incorporates her soulful "R&Popera" sound. R&Popera fuses Pop, Opera, R&B, and Classical Styles. Little opera, piano, violin, and other classical elements are incorporated into "straight up" pop songs! These elements are fused seamlessly to present a unique vision to the world!

Album
Lucia's album concept is unique. Out of the 17 tracks, 10 of the tracks are pop songs with the R&Popera sound. In between some of these songs are little "interludes" - these are 25-45 second "classical breakdowns" that include a 4 part string quartet, an a cappella '"Gregorian chant", and a classical piano interlude that Lucia wrote and played. It should be noted that Lucia does all the singing on her album (including the A Cappella song "Now That You're Gone"). Very few artists can claim to do this!

Her album not only has a unique musical vision, but her lyrics are inspiring as well. In True To Me, when she sings "I gotta be true to me.. gotta stand on my feet...be true to myself and no one else" , and when she says it's okay to act as crazy as you want in "Ya Just Don't Get It" - "You say you can't escape the maze of my crazy ways.. why can't you appreciate the way I behave?" - the listener feels empowered.

Performing
Lucia has recently performed at various venues including the world-renowned Top of the Senator (where she has performed several times), and various charity events such as the See You In Athens Benefit at the Royal York Hotel to raise money for struggling amateur athletes. Lucia's operatic training and classical piano backgrounds give her musical show a unique flair, and her four-octave range also adds to the excitement of every performance. Lucia's performing ability and friendly nature allow people watching her to feel her enjoyment and passion for music.

How She Started
Lucia began taking piano lessons at four! Her teacher encouraged her to begin singing lessons because of her beautiful voice and perfect pitch. Two years later, she began to sing and play piano competitively, and was a member of several musical choirs and musicals throughout her childhood and early teens (including Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate!). In these teen years, she began songwriting, and this has been her main focus ever since. Lucia has performed with various bands over the years, been the featured performer at several functions and charity events, and also given several concerts of her own. Lucia also sang at her Convocation (she graduated as an engineer!) - where she accepted a special award given to an engineer who shows outstanding musical achievement.

Currently splitting her time between Toronto and Los Angeles, Lucia is currently working on her second album! Lucia's immediate plans are to present her unique music vision to the world!
